Something Good is Happening

Something good is already happening.  Can you discover it?   –  Alan Cohen

This was today’s “Daily Inspiration” quote and it brought a smile to my face.  I think that what really appeals to me is the word “discover”.  It conjures up images of searching through a rainforest to find a delightful jewel-toned bird, or a child lifting rocks in the grass to find “rolly polly” bugs.  “Discover” has a lightness of energy to it, a sense of play, fun and adventure.  When I think of the fun of discovering something, I can feel my vibration raise, making it that much easier to find the good in something.  Well, I shy away from calling something “good” or “bad”, but it makes it that much easier for me to connect to, and be thankful for, the blessing in the situation.

This same idea was reinforced today as I listened to the Morning Guided Meditation that we have available on this site (for free — try it!).  The actual words escape me, but the energy is focused on looking for the good in the day.  What a great way to start the morning!  What a great focus and intention to carry forward into the day!

What might your day be like if you consciously chose to look for the good in every situation.  Yes, EVERY situation.  “Something good is already happening.  Can you discover it?”

Here’s my challenge to you (and to myself, of course) — discover the good that is already happening.  Look at the fun parts of your life, but also look deep into the heart of those parts that appear to be dark.   What priceless wisdom and lessons are you learning?  How are you learning to be more compassionate as a result, or to be a better servant-leader?   A better parent?   What joy are you experiencing?  What ways are you letting God dance through you as you experience life on this glorious planet of ours?

We all learn so much from each other.  Discover the good and come back here to share with your Metaphysical Sisters!
