Meditations
We have found very effective tools that we love to use - morning and nighttime guided meditations. We like ours short and to the point. Every mom has five minutes in the AM and PM and we find these really help set the tone for the day and for moving into a restful, restorative sleep at night. It’s like a daily vacuuming of the soul.
We have found that committing to a 21 day process reaps the most benefit. There is power in commitment but don’t let it stress you out. If you miss a morning, just catch up the next day. But be sure to be honest with yourself about why you missed. Is this a pattern that you regularly see? Most of us have unconscious patterns that emerge, so watch yourself closely. See what surfaces for you. And always keep in mind, that how we are with ourselves through an issue, is the issue! Treat yourself kindly, lovingly and understandingly. If you find a pattern surface, forgive any self-judgments and move forward. It may be beneficial for you to start back over at day one until you can successfully keep your word to yourself and complete a full 21 days — or maybe not. Only you can know where you are in the process. Above all, enjoy the process and taking this time for yourself. You are worth it!
